# Locksmith

> Locksmith is a Shopify app by Lightward for access control in the Online Store channel: lock products, collections, pages, prices, or the whole store, and decide who gets in with keys made of conditions (customer tags, passcodes, secret links, location, purchase history, and more).

- How it works: a **lock** decides what is restricted. A lock has one or more **keys**, and any key that works opens the lock. Each key holds one or more **conditions**, and a key works only when all of its conditions are true. Every condition can be inverted.
- Lockable: entire store (with optional exceptions for the home page, policies, and customer pages), products, products by tag, collections, all products, product variants, vendors, pages, blogs, articles by tag, search, cart, customer login and registration, prices and add-to-cart buttons, and custom Liquid locks.
- Conditions: customer is signed in; is tagged with; email address on a list, containing a domain, or from an input list; has placed at least x orders; has purchased (by SKU, title, or product tag); passcode, list of passcodes, or passcode input list (single-use available); secret link or secret link input list; visitor location (country, region, city, via IP geolocation); IP address; store domain (Shopify Markets); confirmation prompt (e.g. age confirmation, not ID verification); before or after a date and time; weekly schedule; product or variant in cart; minimum cart value; Klaviyo list or segment; Mailchimp list; custom Liquid.
- Also: hide locked items from collections, search, navigation, and sitemaps (noindex by default); hide prices and add-to-cart buttons without theme code; checkout validation by customer and product tags; show or hide payment methods by customer tag; theme-matched prompts; translatable messages; input lists from Google Sheets, CSV, XLSX, TXT, or JSON; locked products removed from the Shop app by default; works with new and legacy customer accounts.
